A612. Self Assessment That Works

This practical webinar explores how further education and skills providers can develop meaningful self-assessment processes that align with Ofsted's renewed Education Inspection Framework (EIF) and the FE Skills Inspection Toolkit for September 2026. Using FIN's Self-Assessment Report (SAR) template and practical examples, participants will learn how to evaluate performance effectively and create Quality Improvement Plans (QIPs) that drive genuine and sustainable improvement. 

The session emphasises that self-assessment should be undertaken for the benefit of learners rather than inspectors. Participants will explore how SARs and QIPs can become powerful tools for continuous improvement, helping organisations identify strengths, address areas for development and build a culture of honest self-reflection and accountability.
