Off-the-job training is a core requirement of a funded apprenticeship and must be carefully planned, delivered and evidenced. Covering the 2026/27 funding rules, this resource explains which activities count as off-the-job training, minimum hours, prior learning adjustments and how activity should be recorded against the training plan. It also addresses active learning, completion evidence and common compliance errors, helping training providers protect funding and maintain accurate apprenticeship records.
