H102. Areas for improvement by frequency

This chart highlights areas for improvement and the most frequently identified AFI during inspections. While the safeguarding AFI is low, it is where safeguarding is specifically singled out as a concern. Remember that safeguarding, the Prevent duty, and fundamental British values are often covered under participation and development and must not be ignored.

The most frequent AFI is around staff skills and has been consistent since the first inspections. Staff skills include teaching skills, pedagogical development, and learning development. It also includes CPD and how this impacts learner progress.
